FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
No, we do not charge for standard bookings. In exceptional circumstances with high demand – such as Christmas parties, major sporting events, or other busy days – we may ask for a deposit. This allows us to better plan the seating and avoid cancellations at key times.
We hold bookings for 15 minutes from the scheduled time. After this, if we haven’t heard from you about a delay, the table may be given to other guests. If you know you’re going to be late, just let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to hold the table for you.
It depends on the day and the occasion. Sometimes on a Saturday evening, calling an hour ahead is enough to find a spot. However, there are weekends, holidays, or big match days when all tables are snapped up a week in advance. Therefore, the earlier, the better – especially if you’re planning a group booking or visiting during a peak period.
Yes. For larger group bookings – as well as full venue hire for corporate events – we can prepare a dedicated menu. We tailor it to your group’s needs, taking into account allergens, dietary preferences (e.g. vegetarian dishes), and the nature of the meeting. Just contact us in advance and we’ll arrange all the details.
We broadcast major sporting events that draw a lot of interest – primarily Champions League matches and other top football competitions (excluding the Polish Ekstraklasa).
We also show selected events that bring fans together across Poland – such as Formula 1 races or national team matches (e.g. volleyball).
We do not broadcast MMA, boxing, or other martial arts.
Yes, we sometimes show several events in parallel, thanks to having multiple screens in the venue. If something important is happening in several disciplines at once, we try to include them in our broadcasts so that every fan finds something for themselves.
We do occasionally fulfil such requests – provided we have the technical capacity and the ability to change the broadcast at that moment. It’s worth asking the staff on-site or contacting us in advance; we’ll try to help if possible.
Not always. The decision to turn on the sound depends on the type of event and guest interest. If the majority of bookings are for a specific sporting event, the broadcast will usually have sound.
However, when only one group or table is interested in an event and the rest of the guests have come to enjoy food and conversation, we usually opt out of a loud broadcast to avoid disturbing the atmosphere. We want everyone to feel comfortable here.
Of course! Jasně! Dřevný Kocůr is a truly dog-friendly restaurant. Four-legged friends are welcome and there’s no need to let us know in advance. Pop in together; every guest (including those with tails) will find a place here.
Yes, children are always welcome here. While we don’t have a play area, we’ve ensured a friendly atmosphere for the whole family. On our menu, the little ones often find their favourites – turkey leg, smažený sýr with chips, detský příkrm (chicken nuggets with chips), desserts, and many other treats.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a delivery service. We invite you to visit us in person – it tastes best here!
Yes, we organise corporate dinners, family gatherings, and other special events. Contact us and we’ll prepare an offer tailored to your needs.
