FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
No, we do not charge for standard bookings. In exceptional circumstances, during periods of high demand – such as festive gatherings, major sporting events, or other busy days – we may ask for a deposit. This allows us to better plan the seating and avoid cancelled bookings at key times.
We hold bookings for 15 minutes from the agreed time. After this, if we don’t receive information about a delay, the table may be given to other guests. If you know you’ll be late, please let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to keep your table for you.
That depends on the day and occasion. Sometimes on a Saturday evening, a call an hour beforehand is enough to find a spot. However, there are weekends, holidays, or important matches when all tables are booked a week in advance. Therefore, the earlier, the better. Especially if you’re planning a group booking or a visit during one of the busier periods.
Yes. For larger group bookings – and also when hiring the entire venue for corporate events – it’s possible to arrange a dedicated menu. We tailor it to your group’s needs, considering allergens, dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian dishes), and the nature of the gathering. Just contact us in advance, and we’ll finalise all the details.
We broadcast the most popular major sporting events – primarily Champions League matches and other top football competitions (excluding the Polish Ekstraklasa).
We also show selected events that gather fans across Poland in front of screens – such as Formula 1 races or national team matches (e.g., volleyball).
We do not broadcast MMA fights, boxing, or other martial arts.
Yes, we sometimes show several events in parallel – thanks to having multiple screens in the venue. If something important is happening in several disciplines at once, we try to accommodate this in our broadcasts so that every fan can find something for themselves.
We sometimes fulfil such requests – if we have the appropriate technical conditions and the possibility to change the broadcast at that moment. It’s worth asking the staff on site or contacting us in advance – we’ll try to help if at all possible.
Not always. The decision to turn on the sound depends on the type of event and guest interest. If most bookings are for a specific sporting event, the broadcast will usually have sound.
However, if only one group or table is interested in an event, and the rest of the guests have come to spend time eating and chatting, we usually forgo loud broadcasts to avoid disturbing the atmosphere in the venue. We want everyone to feel comfortable here.
Absolutely! Jasně! Dřevný Kocůr is a truly dog-friendly restaurant. Four-legged friends are welcome here, and there’s no need to notify us in advance. Come together, every guest (even those with tails) will find a place here.
Yes, children are always welcome here. Although we don’t have a play corner, we’ve ensured a friendly atmosphere for entire families. In our menu, the youngest guests often find their favourites – turkey leg, smažený sýr with chips, detský příkrm (which means chicken nuggets with chips), desserts, and many other tasty treats.
Unfortunately, we do not offer delivery. We invite you to visit us in person – it tastes best here!
